Scope of the Role

The Settlement and Metering Analyst will assist in performing the correct processes in a timely manner, whilst ensuring exceptions are resolved effectively and efficiently to ensure that the company achieves the highest levels of settlement performance. A crucial role to the business, working within a team to deliver a high level of service at all times and delivering the key business objectives.

Key Working Relationships (Internal): Head of Industry Operations, the role will have integral links working with all departments.

Key Working Relationships (External): Customers, Third Party Intermediaries, Industry Bodies

Roles & Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Resolution of metering faults identified from industry standard data flows. Completing the necessary actions and ensuring that these are clearly documented where required.

  • Investigate job failures or requests for further information from metering agents from the monitoring of industry standard data flows, completing the necessary actions and ensuring that these are clearly documented where required.

  • Monitor for notifications from metering agents where they have failed to obtain a meter read. Ensure that these instances are investigated and standard industry processes followed.

  • Resolution of both Non Half Hourly (NHH) and Half Hourly (HH) data exceptions received from standard industry data flows ensuring that the resolution is complete and documented.

  • Monitoring and managing the settlements mailbox (settlements@bpgenergy.com) and other customer contact channels ensuring that all items are actioned and filed.

  • Monitor reporting and requests from metering agents to ensure any required actions are completed.

  • Assist with issuing data flows to Meter Operators for the install, exchange and removal of meters where required.

  • Investigate and resolve instances of failed appointments from our metering agents ensuring efficient resolution.

  • Large EAC/AA reporting including submission to Elexon and ensure any complex issues are escalated.

  • Monitor and resolve supplier to supplier communications via the correct channels.

Personal Specification Skills & Experience

What Makes You the Perfect Fit:

  • Customer service and Administrative Experience

  • Computer literate – Excel, Word, Mac & Windows OS. And Proficient in computerised systems, including data entry and record keeping

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

  • Able to use your initiative, and will complete tasks, no matter how big or small.

  • Experience of working in a fast-moving environment, with an ability to handle numerous projects with competing deadlines and priorities

  • Highly organised, with good time management skills

  • Adaptable, with a willingness to learn

  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Bonus Points if You:

  • Previous experience in an operations administrative or clerical role preferred

  • Experience of working in the Utility industry would be valuable but those new to the industry will be given all necessary support by our experienced staff.
